School Post #1: Favorite Blogger

Hi my long lost fashion friends! I can't believe almost a month has passed since my last entry! The Most Inconsistent Blogger Award goes to...

OK, so we have LOTS to catch up on, but my post today isn't going to be about yours truly. Basically, I'm enrolled in this class at FIT that requires weekly blogging as our term assignments. I KNOW. IS THIS REAL LIFE?! Best. Class. Ever. If I'm not blogging, I'm failing, so expect at least one post a week from moi!

Our first topic is sharing our favorite Blog/Blogger, and I'm sure you are all no stranger to mine: The Man Repeller. If you haven't visited Leandra's blog yet, you're in for lots of turbans, an obscene amount of fur and feathers, and an overdose of acid wit! Her blog encompasses the fashion women love to love and men love to hate.
Leandra ready to repel in a Margiela inspired DIY dress.
With a recent influx in teen pregnancy and young parents, Leandra has made a valid point that maybe our sartorial decisions are truly the best form of birth control.

5 Reasons Why I Will Never Procreate:

Laura Ingalls Wilder on Lanvin LSD.
Self explanatory (Got rejected at a Twilight casting because of this hat).
Shag carpet caplet + gigantic top knot.
Unsure of what is more regrettable, the glasses or the fact I spent the first 21 years of my life in the Plateau Station of Antarctica (man repelling climate). Oh, and another top knot.
Nothing spells repel like a good old drop crotch.

In all seriousness, Leandra has contributed a fresh and fun angle to the fashion blogosphere that can't be ignored. She may be a man repeller, but she's also a trend setter, so if you love your buns high and your crotches low, visit The Man Repeller! Until next time, send me a list of your fave blogs and your best man repelling ensembles. x Nia

  6. The Man Repeller is one of my favorite blogs too! That sounds like a really interesting and fun assignment. The color on that jumpsuit is beautiful by the way. I think my legs are too short to pull off a look like that, but you look amazing!
