So almost immediately after my last post, I went shopping and picked up this pretty floral dress from Katch22 (it was 60% off!) and a fur hat from Ragpickers. It's still freezing here, (-11°C /12°F), and maybe cute little dresses aren't all that practical, but fashion first, right!? I couldn't be more excited for spring! For someone who can't stand the cold, I'm not exactly living in the right location, am I?
Wearing vintage fur hat from Ragpickers, floral dress from Katch22, Joe purple opaque tights, Le Chateau yellow bangle.
What are your favorite online vintage shops? Also, if you live in Winnipeg, other than Hoopers, Ragpickers, and Ruby Slipper Vintage Shoppe, where are your fav place to grab some great vintage finds in our lovely city?

SHOPPING LIST
I've been attempting to resist spending any money before fashion week (apparently Montreal has some great shopping), but here are a few things I must get my hands on ASAP.
More pretty floral dresses (it's becoming an obsession), pink opaque tights, a new pair of killer platform heels (preferably cut-outs or gladiator), a fur hat, more nerd glasses to add to my collection, and a bright yellow oversized clutch.
Top row (L to R): Alice + Olivia crinkle silk floral dress, Falke tights, Balenciaga gladiator platforms, Urban Outfitters faux fur pillbox hat.
Bottom row (L to R): nerd glasses, Topshop floral photographic corset dress, Ultimo floral wrap dress, J.J Winters envelope clutch.

GRANDPA GLASSES
Although it's pretty chilly here, -14°C (7°F for my lovely American readers), I still refuse to wear pants. If you know me, you are aware of my enormous collection of leggings, hose, and thigh and knee high socks that are taking over my wardrobe.
Wearing Le Chateau black military jacket, grey Costa Blanca dress, H&M scarf, Le Chateau black fringe bag, vintage safety glasses (courtesy of the boyfriend). Not pictured: Le Chateau black knee high socks, olive green velvet flats.

Happy Valentine's Day! I enjoyed a romantic dinner and delicious (organic) chocolate fondue with my manfriend last night and am going to a party tonight. It's (finally!!) MONTREAL FASHION WEEK
I'm finally finished my dress for the 2009 Télio Design Competition! What do you think?
We were allowed to choose 6m of our choice from 18 Télio fashion fabrics. Our design had to incorporate one or more of the themes earth, air, water, and/or fire. Out of 116 applicants, I'm thrilled to be one of the 25 finalists from across Canada who gets to show their garment in the Télio show during Montreal Fashion Week (the cash prizes arent too shabby either)!
I bought this 1960s vintage floral dress from Ragpickers last Saturday. I'm going to reconstruct it for an outfit to wear to fashion week; make it shorter and give it a bell or balloon hem. I'd like to do some adjustments to the bodice (make it more fitted) and the sleeves (which may be difficult because they are kimono-style).

I want to give it a Balenciga Spring 2008 feel. I have some fierce black cut-out shield boots I'm gonna rock with it too. I can't wait; 23 days 'till MFW and my first show ever!
