REMEMBER

Amongst the sea of souvenir shops and gyro stands in Plaka, Clay and I stumbled across one of the coolest boutiques in Athens. Established in 1978, Dimitris Tsouanatos and George Vanakos created a unique fashion boutique inspired by the punk era, London style, and the trends of the time - Remember. The shop is frequented by rockstars such as Iron Maiden, Sex Pistols, and The Ramones, as well as many other models, actors, actresses, photographers, and celebrities. Apparently we missed Chloë Sevigny by a few days! After having a long chat about fashion and rockstars with one of the store employees (wish I got his name!), I decided on this awesome tee designed by Tsouanatos. If you're ever in Athens you have to check out Remember (79 Adrianou Street Plaka, Athens, Greece ) and rifle through all the amazing vintage, hand-painted, one of a kind items as well as the art installations scattered throughout the boutique (the half man, half woman mannequin in the storefront is awesome). Greece and Amsterdam were amazing and while I was overseas I had the oppurtunity to do some major shopping! Prepare for (finally!) some outfit posts! I can't wait to wear all my new purchases! Here's a sneak peak:

GOODBYE MOTHERLAND

Sorry for seriously neglecting my blog, but I've been having such an amazing time in Greece and haven't had the chance to get on my laptop to make a post. I did next to no shopping in Athens, but rather spent my days visiting amazing archaeological sites, eating delicious food, swimming in crystal clear water, or getting some sun on the beautiful beaches.
I'm off to Amsterdam today! Excited to do some major shopping and catch the first day of Amsterdam International Fashion Week. I will try and post when I can! Thanks for being the most patient readers in the blogosphere!

PRETTY PINK

Took the tram to Athens this morning and stopped in Plaka for lunch where we enjoyed orange Fanta (Euro Fanta is far better than North American! Just saying..) and 'brouschette'. So delish! We then wandered around Monastiraki and Plaka and checked out the New Acropolis Museum which is amazing. Siesta (nap time) now! Peace and love.
