Today Clay and I wandered The Exchange District, one of my favorite places in Winnipeg. The Exchange District derives its name from the Winnipeg Grain Exchange, the centre of the grain industry in Canada, and the many other exchanges which developed in Winnipeg during the period from 1881-1918. Today The Exchange remains the vibrant core of the city, hosting a plethora of independently owned boutiques, chic restaurants, and great vintage and antique shops surrounded by a booming artistic community.
Wearing Le Château wrap cardigan, Vero Moda dress, Urban Outfitters double flower ring, Le Château snake ring, Aldo heels.
The Exchange is a national historic site and commercial and cultural centre in Winnipeg with beautiful architecture and some heritage buildings pre-dating 1910. Nestled beneath the city's skyscrapers, this 30-block area encompasses the raw but vibrant beauty Winnipeg has to offer. The Exchange District is a must-see if you ever visit - and I'll gladly take you for a walking tour, shopping, and some delicious eats!
