HAUTE LIKE WASABI

Tonight I joined some of my fabulous friends for oysters and sushi at Wasabi on Broadway and then headed over to a local fashion show (my camera died once we got to the event but I have a few dinner and pre-show pictures to share)!

At the show; my lipstick is a combo of M.A.C Girl About Town (Amplified finish) and Pink Nouveau (Satin finish). Melody wears M.A.C Diva (Matte finish). We are self-proclaimed lipstick junkies!

It was a great night - I definitely needed a break from my studies! Anyways, I have some illustration boards I have to finish for tomorrow so I better get to it! Have a great week!

Exciting news!!!!!!! I've been accepted to the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC!! I finish my Bachelor of Science in Textile Sciences this April and am so excited to move to New York this fall to complete my one-year Associate Applied Science degree in Fashion Merchandising Management!

MARCH FORWARD

I can't believe it's already March! Only 1 ½ months of school left! I've mentioned (complained about) school and my stressful workload probably a little more than necessary on my blog, but I don't think I've given you many specifics; in May I will achieve my Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Sciences and I'm very excited! I've ordered a gorgeous dress for graduation and I can't wait to share it with you all a few months from now! After graduation I do have some plans but I'm keeping those under wraps for now...~so mysterious~

Anyways, it was a beautiful day to go outside and play with my puppies! You've already met Miley (above), so allow me to introduce you to my other little (and big) angels!

This is Deke, my German Shepard who thinks he is a chihuahua. I love him to death but he is so oblivious to his size and strength - it's hard to tell because he's so big, but he is actually still a puppy!

This is Tay, he is a purebred Chihuahua like Miley. I rescued him from an abusive family when he was one year old. I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to harm him - he is perfect (and very photogenic, unlike Miley)! Tay is now 7 years-old, happier and healthier than ever.

Wearing a Seduction shirt, Le Château faux fur vest, Forever21 fish necklace, Urban Outfitters double flower ring, Joe tights, Aldo "Tureson" wedges.

And for lip color, I'm wearing the latest addition to my collection of MAC lipsticks, "So Chaud". It's an intense reddish-orange with a matte finish. A hot alternative to my traditional red!

Hope you all had a fantastical week! A huge congrats to Team Canada for winning gold in men's ice hockey yesterday in an unreal game against Team USA, bringing our total gold medal count to a history-making 14! I'm very proud to be Canadian, our entire nation is smiling right now! Congratulations to all the countries and athletes who participated in the Winter Games in Van this year, what a memorable experience!
