GIVENCHY F08RTW-ISH?

Yesterday was me and Clay's one year anniversary! We made a delicioooous din together and exchanged gifts. He bought me these awesome layered chain necklaces that I'm in loooove with, very Givenchy Fall 2008 RTW don't you think?
Wearing Urban Outfitters body con dress (that I got for a steal at $9.50!), Aldo hat, layerd chains from the boyfraaand (please excuse the flashed-out face in the second pic!).

Also, for all of you who were asking, my 'signature lip color' that I've worn in nearly every post (and wear daily!) is Dame Edna for MAC limited edition lipstick in "Gladiola". It's my beauty essential!

I JUST DIED

I've been a MAJOR Nic Rich fan foreverrrrrr and peed myself a little when I saw these pics on fellow Winnipeger and fashionista, Raez's blog Cheap Thrills (pics from Just Jared). Nicole Richie on the cover of Blackbook Magazine. I now need a fierce platinum wig; she is a flaming hot plate of sex! LOVE.

WANTED: MOTORCYCLE

Unlike all you spoiled kids in Alberta, B.C, Ontario, and Quebec, us fashionistas here in Manitoba don't have access to an Urban Outfitters (the closest one is an 8 hour drive across the US border to Minneapolis). To my extreme delight they are liquidating a bunch of their clothing HERE in WINNIPEG for dirt cheap prices at the Liquidation World on Wellington (by the airport)! I picked up this cropped black motorcycle jacket yesterday (regular $138.00) for $28.00!
Wearing the Aldo heels (again), Urban Outfitters ruched lamé leggings, the bf's tank, Urban Outfitters cropped motorcycle jacket.
My bf Clay and I decided to do some more bargain hunting today and headed over to Ragpicker's Retro Rummage Sale where I picked up some more goodies. Here's a sneak peek:
A pink/blue/black abstract print dress, brown and pink mini dress with 3/4 puff sleeves, and a sky blue suede fringed jacket. These lovelies will be making an appearance in posts in the near future!
We then headed over to The Pastry Castle for lunch where I pracitcally inhaled this delicious Greek salad (shopping can make you work up an appetite, ok?!).
All in all, a fabulous day out with my lovermanfriend. If you're ever in Winnipeg, you must visit the Exchange District for amazing vintage shopping and great dining. Hope you all have a great weekend and I look forward to your comments!

PINK & PROCRASTINATION

Sorry for my serious lack of updates, I've been trying to get caught up with all the school work I missed while I was in Montreal. I'm going shopping today but am extremely excited for the major retail therapy that will be going down tomorrow. Ragpickers, my fav vintage shop in Winnipeg is having a massive spring cleaning sale since they will be closed for the month of April due to being the site of a major motion picture! If you're from Winnipeg you do NOT want to miss this. Check out the Facebook event page here!

STOP, DROP CROTCH, AND ROLL

My dad was teasing me about my new purple drop crotch jumper, saying embarrasing things like "Stop, drop crotch, and roll!", haha. Ok, so maybe the jumpsuit is a little out there, I mean, it's a purple drop crotch onesie, of course it's going to be subjected to critism, but I love it and it's probably one of the most comfortable pieces in my closet!
I'm in love with these heels from Aldo, not only do they make me, like, 6 feet tall, but I got them at the Aldo Liquidation store in Montreal for $22.00, regular $110.00!!! Gotta love a major deal!

FASHION WEEK RECAP

Hey dolls! So I'm back from Montreal Fashion Week and I can't even put in to words how amazing and surreal the whole experience was! To sit in second row and watch my dress come down the runway was the most rewarding experience of my life. I can't wait to have my own show some day - and you're all invited to attend!
Pictured above is my dress coming down the runway (!!!!), me at the Dress to Kill magazine cocktail party, the fabulous Télio showroom and warehouse (sooo many delicious fabrics, I couldn't even fathom it), and an amazing Télio abstract floral printed silk I must have. I'm a textile junkie. Also, below is an article on me in the paper (they even did a little shout-out to my blog in the intro)!

SHEER BLACK

Hey lovelies! Sorry I haven't updated in what seems like foreverrrrr but I've been extremely busy prepping for Montreal Fashion Week! I leave on Wednesday and I probably won't be able to update until Sunday so I'll leave you with my current wishlist: clean tailored pieces, sheer bodysuits, and black, black, black.

I've been obsessing over lace and sheer anything, specifically body suits and body stockings (think Ruffian Fall 2009 RTW). I also desperately need a new pair of beautifully structured black peg pants and more loose fit blazers. Pictured above is also my fav pair of YSL pumps, gold chains which are my number one go-to accessory, nerd glasses (I just bought yet another adorable pair yesterday) and of course, my signature lip color!
