BUSY BUSY

Hey loves, just a quick post (sorry, no outfit! Just me and the not-so-photogenic Miley) to say I hope you are all having a wonderful week! TGIF tomorrow, right!? The next few weeks are going to be INSANELY busy for me, so expect a gradual slow down in posts. Until then, leave some love- I'll try and get back to all your comments!

COLOR WARS

I DIE for a good print and luckily spring 2010 runways were packed with oversized patterns and bold colors. With designers such as Dries Van Noten, Diane Von Furstenberg, Etro, and Marc Jacobs mixing and matching these design elements from head to toe, tribal motifs, abstract patterns, and geometric designs are huge right now - and you know you'll be seeing me in these trends - I live for color!

P.S: I am in looooooove with that outrageous Marc Jacobs Day Glow cropped tweed jacket; there is something so amazingly hideous and beautiful about it that I am insanely attracted to.

Will you be wearing tons of color and mix-matching prints this spring?

EMPTY

Alas, my all time favorite lipstick has run out (well, not completely, I'm still using what's left of it out of desperation). The shade is "Gladiola" from the Dame Edna for M.A.C Cosmetics Winter 2008 collection and I first bought it back in January '09. I was then forced to repurchase it after my dog tragically mauled my first one; I franctically called all the M.A.C counters in Winnipeg before I found one left in the entire city. I then drove about an hour out of my way to get the little tube of lipstick, but it was totally worth it as I wore it almost every day. But now my dear Gladiola is in its final days...RIP.

*Sigh*, the things we do for beauty right? I may have to repurchase it on eBay off something...

P.S: I needed a change and made a new blog header! Thoughts?

WINTER GARDEN PARTY

I'm wearing a Seduction dress layered under a Forever21 dress, Forever21 floral tights, Aldo ankle boots.
Rachelle's wearing: Le Château patterned tights over Aritzia pink opaque tights, Le Château boots, Le Château flower pin, my H&M floral dress (which I originally blogged here).
Photography by Jennifer Swan

On Saturday I met up with Rachelle and Jen to do a fun floral photoshoot in the park! Jen is an awesome self-taught photographer - looking forward to doing more shoots with her in the future (we already have some awesome ideas up our sleeves...)! Check out her website here to see more of her fabulous work!

P.S: This is the debut of my new ankle boots Clay's family bought me for Christmas! I'm in loooooove with them! Thoughts?

Hope you're all having a great week! xo Antonia

WHERE THEM BLOGGERS AT

All photos courtesy of Raez and her awesome camera "Dave".

These babes are seriously on another level. I literally haven't been to Wheelies since the '90s but this was hands down the most fun I've ever had rollerskating (or attempting to....)!

But can we just talk about Andrew's (Pull Teeth) amazing DIY pants for a second? Thoughts? And Zoe's (Mille Fiori) adorable crinoline under her American Apparel figure skater dress, and Raez's (Cheap Thrills) fierceness in general? Um, LOVE. Prepare for more fun (sequined) adventures with these fabulous peeps!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

2009 was an amazing year for me - I started Live Glam or Die in February as a wardrobe diary to log my daily outfits and observe how my clothing choices and style constantly evolved and what influenced the changes. Since then, I have met so many beautiful people who continue to inspire me every day. Thank you so much for reading and let's continue this fun, fashionable journey into 2010!

Besides the excitement of a new blog, 2009 was filled with so many other exhilarating adventures. In June/July, Clay and I spent 3 ½ weeks in Europe visiting Greece and the Netherlands - the countries of our ancestors (I'm half Greek, Clay is Dutch):
Being my second time in Greece, this visit was even more exciting than the first. I love everything about this country - the people, the food, the music. I can't wait to go back!
Amsterdam was SO MUCH FUN - I could live there for sure! The people were amazing and not to mention the shopping! I came back with tons of fabulous finds and even better memories!

Possibly the most thrilling part of 2009 was when I was selected as one of the 25 finalists from across Canada for the 2009 Télio Design Competition. My earth-themed dress was featured in a show during Montréal Fashion Week (and even had a cameo on FashionTV)! The experience was so surreal and amazing, I could do this forever...
Other highlights of 2009 included turning 21 (finally!!!), seeing some of my favorite bands including Kings of Leon (front row!), White Lies (front row!), and Coldplay, completing another year of university , and countless beautiful memories made with my family, friends, and YOU!

2010 holds lots of amazing things for me - I graduate from university in May and then I'm not sure where life will take me but I'm sure it will be somewhere fabulous! Thank-you for reading and let's make the start of this new decade a year to remember!

xoxo Much love,
Antonia
